Testimonials Buick Roadmaster transmission slippingFrom: Frank Bobby, I have a 1993 Buick Roadmaster with 270,000 miles. Would you recommend a BG product or service for the transmission? The transmission seems to run well, except it has a slip going into 2nd and 3rd gear sometimes. This problem is most likely a stuck throttle valve. Thanks for your help! ------ Frank, BG transmission service procedures are designed to maintain the health of a healthy unit and not to correct internal wear and/or possible bad parts. Having said that, you can certainly add BG’s transmission detoxifier (Quick Clean), run engine 10 minutes and then change out the old fluid and add BG’s conditioner seal softener and lubricity enhancer as a first step. The reason I asked the question about the transmission service is that some years ago I had the transmission (Lincoln) fluid changed and lost the transmission.
