BG is the only safe thing to use in your cooling system, and YES I had it work perfectly in a 1984 Buick Skylark I was driving a few years ago. It had the original radiator, and was starting to leak. The BG worked and not a drop until I was able to replace the radiator. Anything else you hear horror stories about, like some of the other brands will clog your heater core and you will be replacing that too.
